Vittorio Bassan was born in Valenza Po, a city located in Piemonte, Italy.

Piemonte is the region of northern Italy known worldwide for its culinary delicacies like white truffles and superb wines, and is also renowned for top quality precious gemstone jewelry.

Steeped in the family tradition of fine jewelry craftsmanship, Vittorio grew up playing with gemstones. He watched closely as his mother, father, and seven uncles created stunning jewelry pieces in the family’s jewelry workshop.

From a very early age, Vittorio developed a passion for fine jewelry and a deep love of precious metals and rare gemstones. As a child, he dreamed that someday he would be able to create his original designs.

After earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in jewelry design and manufacturing, Vittorio began an apprenticeship as a precious gemstone setter in the family business. He quickly perfected the art and precision of setting gemstones. He began to excel as a jewelry designer, as well, handcrafting original, individualized pieces.

Seeking to broaden his horizons, Vittorio moved to Los Angeles to explore the American luxury market. He became intrigued by how and why women shop for jewelry and overtime, he developed a genuine understanding of how women express themselves with fine jewelry.

He established an elite and loyal clientele and began earning commissions for unique pieces of high jewelry. In 2013, his reputation caught the attention of Van Cleef & Arpels where Vittorio was offered a position in the flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York. During his tenure at VCA, he became proficient in all aspects of the jewelry industry.

He mastered the art of excellence in customer service. That extensive experience of personalized interaction with luxury clients inspired Vittorio to develop innovative jewelry to enable women to express their individuality with comfort and ease.

His unique designs and manufacturing techniques have earned him two fine jewelry utility patents. (For more information, please see the Mission page).

Vittorio launched his jewelry line “Fit For Life Jewels® ”in 2018, realizing his lifelong dream! His colorful, expressive, and versatile new collections combine his love of architecture, timeless design, and impeccable craftsmanship.
